- I had a similar problem downloading any file larger than about 3K. This
- included gifs (on the Web), WAVs, or ZIP files. Even big ASCII files
- stopped almost immediately.

-
- I had numerous conversations with rocket scientists here on the net, at work
- (bunch of AS/400 jockies), and with MS support (first and second level
- support folks). Basically, my problem started when I got 32bit disk access
- working properly using a NCR scsi controller. To do so, I had to fiddle
- with some jumpers on the IDE controller that contained my I/O ports.
-
- Anyway, nobody had ever heard of such a thing before. But some other
- unfortunate soul who had the same problem resolved it by - yes you guessed
- it - replacing his I/O card with a different one. I did the same and mine
- works great now. Apparently it was some sort of low-level hardware
- conflict..?.
-
- Incidentally, the MS guys thought that my original controller probably had a
- defective chip on it. The card is now installed in another P90 and working
- great as well.
-
- Hope this helps
